"If what you have done yesterday still looks big to you, then you haven't done much today."
- Mike Krzyzewski, Head Basketball Coach at Duke
As a YMCA Coach, Adults have the privilege of introducing a group of young people to our sports programs. YMCA coaches can pass on their knowledge of a sport while teaching the basics, fundamentals and rules of the game. Our coaches help players learn sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play while abiding by our "Child First and the Sport Second" philosophy. You see, we want our players to play the game (and the game of "Life") not only this season....but for many years to come. And we want our coaches to have fun teaching them because we'd like them to help us again next season! As a YMCA coach you will realize that this priveledged postition is unique, because you give back to the players but the experience also gives back to you!
